Terms of Service

Your account

• You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
• Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
• If you add a business, you’re responsible for the people you invite and the roles you give them.

Plans and billing

• The first business you create is free. Each additional business is $9.99 a month, billed through Stripe on the web or through the App Store on iPhone.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel web billing in Settings → Plan, and App Store subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• If a business isn’t covered by a plan, it becomes view-only until it’s covered again. Nothing in it is deleted.
• We don’t usually refund partial periods, but write to support@taskboard.my if something went wrong. App Store refunds are handled by Apple.
• If prices change, we’ll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next period.

Your content

What you put in TaskBoard stays yours. You let us store, process and show it only to run the service for you and the people you share it with. You’re responsible for having the right to add what you add, including your customers’ and crew’s contact details.

Texts and messages

Texts to customers and crew go out from your own Twilio account, under your agreement with Twilio. You’re responsible for having the recipients’ consent and for following the messaging rules that apply to you (in the US, the TCPA). To help, TaskBoard asks you to confirm consent before the first text to each number and keeps that confirmation, adds “Reply STOP to opt out” to the first text, never texts a number again after it replies STOP, and only sends between 8 AM and 9 PM in your timezone. Carrier rates may apply.

AI features

Each account gets a monthly allowance of AI requests, shown in Settings: more when you pay for a business. You can add your own Anthropic API key instead, for use without the allowance; those requests are billed to you by Anthropic under your agreement with them. We may change the allowance with notice.

The assistant and other AI features can be wrong. Check anything important, such as estimates, bid summaries, money totals and dates, before relying on it. They aren’t legal, tax, financial or professional advice.

Fair use

Please don’t:

• break the law or anyone’s rights with TaskBoard, or use it to send spam;
• try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, or disrupt the service;
• scrape or automate access beyond the features we provide;
• resell the service without our permission.

We may suspend accounts that do, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may end the service or an account with reasonable notice, and we’ll give you time to download your businesses’ backups unless the account was ended for abuse.

Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep TaskBoard running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you in the app for anything significant; continuing to use TaskBoard means you accept the new terms. Questions: support@taskboard.my.
